The essence of Pilates -- find out what it can mean for you.

Pilates is simply:

A whole body workout
In Pilates one does many different exercises  with low repetitions (30 to 70), moving the body in all possible ways ( twisting, bending , extending etc) to ensure that all muscles are exercised.

Increases flexibility and agility
The exercises assure that a proper blood flow reaches all parts of the body (mainly spine, hips, joints and muscles of arms and legs), avoiding stiffness.

Strength & Endurance through proper breathing
Deep inhalation and  deep exhalation provide the muscles with the proper amount of oxygen necessary to complete the exercises without getting fatigued and losing the so called  “Perfect Form”.

Improves the ability to Concentrate
What is mainly referred as the “Control” (of mind over body) in Pilates, is nothing other than the ability of the individual to deliberately contract and isolate muscle groups to achieve a specific motion. Pilates exercises every muscle in the body, including the brain!

Works on Alignment and Symmetry of the body
Mainly corrects posture and weaknesses (developed through bad habits) avoiding wear and tear to the body.
